This course is the first in our 2025 complete series over six courses in Beginner's Greek. We work through Learning Greek with Plato: A Beginner’s Course in Classical Greek by Frank Beetham. In the first class, we will begin at the beginning with a discussion of the literary and historical background of Greek, our aims for the course and an introduction to the alphabet. No prior study of the language is presumed.
